I live in a Broken House

I live in a broken house.
I chose it especially out of all the houses I looked at.
It has everything I really need and some of what I want in my house.
It has beautiful trees and lovely rooms and a great kitchen.
Good closets and many other things.
When it was built, It was made with specifications that were inadequate for
The land it was put on.
It has been repaired with more piers and beams than a house 3 times it’s size requires.

It has spectacular cracks in the walls that need cosmetic repair, but it is not broken any longer.
It may take a while to accomplish these repairs but in the meantime I am warm and cozy living inside my house.

I came into the world through love and biology.
This world broke me into pieces.
I have been put back together with
substances greater than I was made with.
This is what You have done for me
It has made me more than I was.
I have some spectacular cracks that need repair but I am not broken any longer.

And for that I am very grateful
