A Rainbow Follows Rain
Stay with me in the silence of the storm;
Let our friendship see the rainbow through the drenching rain
Being with you again has drawn me close to the things that we have shared in the past
You are my old friends that someone who understands a lover's passion, Understands emotional need
A true friend who will never leave my heart One that has strength, and who is devoted to promises made
Let us grow stronger together as friends in our understanding, that a promise broken makes someone’s tomorrow
Come walk with me where the waters touch the heavens and wake up to a blue mountain mornings
Let us spend time dancing on a sidewalk in a far away place, as music fills the air
Holding our friendship as the world pass by, if this life gives us this rainy day
Will just lie around learning about the mysteries, in each other’s life,
Honestly, not judging the other, truly sharing in friend’s future dreams.
You have touched my heart; you live inside apart of my soul
And you will always be there
Always remember a rainbow follows rain, and you are my rainbow

Rainbow
Yes this is a wonderful concept and a true observation.
I like how your words describe the relationship between the rainbow and the rain but it also reminds me of the flood in Genesis in the Bible. Is it not like a relationship between the rainbow and the rain just as the clouds produce the rain the rain struck by light reveals it richness. And so the one who created them both made the rainbow to be a sign to us for he created us also that he is with us forever and will not forsake us to the rain and will save us by his Word though the rainbow shows he will not send a flood again but through mercy and love he shall carry us. What a wonderful relationship to have.
I am interested to know have you a relationship like the one you described or is it a desire to have one? No matter the answer I am glad for your poem keep posting!

thank you it is one I dream of
it is what I hope will be. one day
I believe in God and around 23 years ago he gave me my son
I was a small child who wrote letters in the sand and waited for the tides
to take them to God. I believe today God read my letters.
This story is on a my space page if you care to see it with a slide show
and its story is about my son, myself and us meeting his birthmother
my angel.. It really is a once in a life time story.
