Opening
There were people all around me
But all I could see where your eyes
Those sapphires burning
Subduing my gaze
Pulling it away,
My gaze falls to your lips
Those deep red roses moving
To a sweet warm breeze
Making them sway and dip
I started to move without thinking
Your gravity pulling me to you
One hand, to your face
The other pressed you to me
I whispered come explore a different land
Or maybe leave on a ship
Can’t you see the ocean?
The moon above making waves dance
See how it goes?
Now move to that motion
In the middle of that rhythm
Something brakes over you
Like waves on the rocks of a distant shore
I am the moon, you are my ocean
I make you move down to your core
Now break over me
See things in a different light
Enough with this gray just open your eyes
And jump, take the flight
Because in the end we are all puppets
On life’s strings of control
Strapped in a constant roller coaster
And it’s all you can do to save your own sole
