The Wonders of High School

The hallways are packed
I pass you every day
A wave
A smile
An exchange of few words
I would not go as far as
Saying you are my friend
More like a welcomed acquaintance
But once graduation comes
And you shale leave
Separate paths than me
Living in the same place
But I shale never see you
After seeing you every day
There is no sight of you
Years go bye
We pass on a busy street
Names exchanged ecstatically
Smiles, hugs and sweet laughter
Then gone again
We live in the same town
Same city with the same zip code
But we ever see each other
Not like before
Not like in school
When I was there
I wished so hard to leave
Now I wish to be there again
To see friends of old
To see lost lovers
But to see the people
I took advantage of seeing
The ones who I never see now
But where seen everyday
Thought not looked at
But deeply missed
