Insomnia (Get Out)

Like a vengeful ghost to his murderer,
So you haunt me when I sleep...
Worked yourself into my subconscious mind;
Infiltrated my dreams.
Now it's become so hard to sleep...
With you on my mind and haunting me.

I loved you, but laid my heart to rest;
But I always see you when I sleep...
Get out of my fantasies!
Get out of my dreams...
...I miss sleeping peacefully...

Granted, I cannot forget you...
But I was trying to move on.
Since you found your way into my heart,
I now know I held on too long...
Now I lay awake and wonder why...
You won't let me sleep but left me alive.

Still I love you, but I know better...
So why do you taunt me when I sleep?
Get out of my fantasies!
Get out of my dreams...
...I miss sleeping restfully...

Here I lie without you,
Afraid to close my eyes...
You've hoodwinked my mind and now...
When I sleep I think you're mine...
Get out of my fantasies!
Get out of my dreams...

It's hard enough sleeping alone.
