Silence

Silence, absence of sound, of the many different noises,
Silence, tries to be, wants to be, just serenity.
But it is not...
Silence is a curse, a punishment upon me.
Silence is not my nature--it's just been forced into me.

Silence, this silence, it does not suit me,
Silence, this silence, it squirms within me.
Silence, you curse, withdraw from me.
Allow me to speak again,
to dream again,
to scream again.

Silence, wished upon me, uninvited.
I hate it, this curse, Let me speak!
Begone! I wish for you to leave;
I would scream, but you won't let me.
SIlence...cursed upon me in cruelty--
Forced upon me in defiance,
Strips me of speaking for myself;
Bears me, open, to its presence.

Silence, this silence, let me go--
So so that I may again dream.
Silence, this silence, begone from me;
Go so that I may scream...

Silence...curse you, you curse...
