--Yes. I heard it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Just happy its not snowing yet.
-Did you get your hair cut? It looks nice.
--Thankyou, yes I did.
-I like your outfit. You look thinner.
--Thankyou, you too.
-Did you lose weight?
--No, I dont think so. But thanks. Maybe I have.
-What's wrong?
--Nothing. Im just tired.
-Have fun at work.
--Oh, yea. I will.
-How's the baby?
--Great.
-How are the kids?
--They're great. Getting big.
-How was your holiday?
--Just fine. Lots of family.
-Who are you?

Interesting Write
I see this as an observational kind of write, a piece about the everyday "niceties" that people say, as a sort of politeness. Few if any, actually care about answers to the questions.

I've echoed this...
while bordering hysteria. Sometimes it's almost impossible to suck it up, paste on a smile and answer the grocery store clerk when they ask, "how are you?"... all while knowing that they don't really give a rat's ass and that they're just paid to stand there and say that. Nice write.
