How long will you veer toward oblivion?
Deserving of paradise, intent on being unforgiven
As my heart breaks for you
Parents have failed
There's no one to trust
Loneliness trudging wearily
Looking for arms to embrace
Hail Mary's have been a bust
Lusting for something tangible
Beyond what eyes can see
Peace besides this misery..

An empty house to walk into
Silence where children used to play
A box of photographs opened
Untreated symptoms of yesterday.

Where did I go wrong?
Why didn't you tell me
When I began too stray?
I may have heard you
But I didn't listen
Don't tell me I don't care
Just unsure of its meaning
As these ghosts disturb my sleep
How will I kill the beast
When I'm weak and defenseless?
Why shall I keep their sadness
When they stripped me of innocence?
