If Nothing Else

If I pray for you
It doesn't mean
I'm standing tall
Upon an isolated mountain top
Preaching the gospel
While raping the land
I've just lost touch
With the physical being
My heart is reeling
And the only remedy
That I have in my chest
Is to pray that you find peace
And just maybe we'll meet again someday.

The power isn't in our hands
Control isn't a viable option
Acceptance is what we're after
We can't act on emotion
No matter how wonderfully dramatic
It comes off on the screen
Once we had a dream
To change the world
Think on a different level
But somewhere we ran into that Demon
All the while talking Jesus
Pride and Ego separated the Siamese Twins
And I pray for God to have mercy on this soul...
