Don't know if I should be flattered
Or simply offended
Conflicted with ambivalence
Yet I'm well aware
That there's something more profound
Beyond this dormant state
Perhaps I need a push
External motivation to prove you wrong
Cause when the bells are rung
And the church doors close
I'll know you'll be on your best behavior
Giving your heart and soul
To the one and only Saviour
But will you repent for your sins?

If you intend on preaching the gospel
Make damn sure
Every I is dotted and
Every flank is covered
Cause it doesn't matter
What you say
So flawlessly
Ever gracefully
You're just a human being
Not a saint
For another lifetime...Perhaps.
There's infidels stalking you
Along the path just waiting
To spring a card or two
Just praying the Joker has the last laugh...
