Journal Entry #7174

Shook his head
Disgusted
Rolled his eyes
Arrogantly
While the red and blue lights
Flashed in and out of a
Disturbing scenario
Questions ad-naseum
Trip me up
Out of fear, anger
Fill in the god damn emotion
Yet I sat inside a cage
Numbed, shocked, paralyzed
Like a little boy
Stuck in the wrong time
In a one horse town.

Just let me answer to the charges
And I'll be on my way
Don't worry, Mr. Officer
I'm never coming back
Unless I seriously covet
A death wish cause the only fishing
I do is on the banks of Lake Erie
I'm not enthralled with your power trip
A price to pay for being cast away
I feel your presence but your soul
Is lost and only you can find it.

Safely at home and not itching 2 return
I should have attacked your subtle racism
You could barely contain
And what remains is your refusal
2 realize we're beyond the stone age
I'm still with my girl and
Love her more then anything in this world
Yet you sleep somehow comfortably
With white supremacist propaganda
Underneath your pillow
All you need is a teddy bear dressed
Like the Klu Klux Klan and the
Insanity will be complete.

My sympathies for being a little man
A boy stuck behind the badge
If I had the money
You'd be shoveling sh.t
From some landfill
And in the stillness
With every chance 2 repent
You reject any idea that
Will challenge irrational beliefs
Cause in your heart
God is one color and one race only.

As the rain falls
A rainbow endears for us
Where a racist heart never endures
It must be lonely yet
I'm sure your praying for us
2 see the error of our ways
Likewise, I perform the same
Unlike you, I don't perpetuate hate
I just feel ashamed for you for
The game has changed
Yesterday is over.
