A Tangled Mind
There is a vacancy in hell
It's gonna be tough to get through
Confusion crawling within a distorted view
Hoping clarity will play its part
Make sense of these turbulent emotions
I hate feeling but can no longer numb
But don't care to reveal...
Seems I'm sabotaging my good fortune
Deep down, I'm not worthy of your time
Been shaked, rattled and tortured
Honesty is a man slowly going blind
You keep insisting I have much to offer
Yet you hold the final clue in hand
Are you scared of what may happen?
Or is it pain you can't stand?
If you only could see how I truly am
You might call it a day
Or ask me to stay
But it's getting hard
Just to be a friend...
I've shuffled all the players and pawns
Tired of yawning over the predictable and inane
Inflict me with just a smile
And the batting of shimmering eyes
As I'm falling into the game
The parody of unrequited love
Here we go again...
Can't spoil you cause
You'll never be satisfied
Hold you for I may be enveloped
Kiss you cause I won't let go
Love you for I might find happiness
Quite a dilemma to behold
One thing I know is
One of us is gonna
Get sick of being alone
The twain shall meet
But for whom?
A tangled mind refuses to hurt you
Yet I'm too stubborn to see the signs
Writing is on the wall
And I still want to make corrections
The truth must be told
I'm exhausted with guessing...
