EVENING
Nudging daylight into bed
Eve whispers forth the dark-light threads
that weave between the leaves of trees
to cross the sill and pirouette above my head.
Laughting footsteps trill
a merry waltz through nightness
and silvered lightness wilting
sprinkles sequins on my quilting.
Lawn mowers whirling over sun drenched paths,
sprinklers twirling dewdrops
on sleepy robins taking twilight baths.
Vespers sung by clicking crickets
deep within the thickset thickets
and flickering flies of fire play catch-me-not
among the hedgerows.
Darkness grows with daylight grieving
and passing headlights flow round my room
weaving fibers of the evening.

what an image..
Ezmerelda, I seriously enjoyed this passage, I've made several films in which I've tried to capture the most beautiful pieces of nature and the late evening on a clear summer's day is just breathtaking with a song by the EElS behind it.. I enjoyed this very much and I've yet to read the rest of your work but be sure that I will!
