Cassandra: Earth Angel
In the dark of the night
She comes to me,
A phantom of desire and destiny,
Cloaked in shadows of grey and white,
Her beauty pure as light.
Whispers of past longing,
Glitter in her darkened eyes,
As she reaches out her pale, silver hand to me.
A ghost,
An Earth Angel,
Has come to me.
As I take her hand,
I finally see,
Beneath that ethereal beauty,
Is what is in me.
A ghost of my past,
Is haunting me.
A friend,
Long since dead to this world,
Lives within the life,
That grows within me.
Behind the cloaked shadows of beauty,
Her true form is revealed.
Flowing hair,
Dark greens eyes,
She stares back at me full of love, care and pride.
Her voice mystical and enchanting,
Draws me in as I listen,
Her tale weaved into silver notes,
Dancing upon my skin, like a summer wind,
She speaks of pain, of love and hope.
She tells me of the Faith that grows.
As I gaze upon her silver skin,
I notice the flaws,
And they take me in.
Scars riddle her ghostly form,
On her wrist,
A knife slash, forever there.
It is then I realize,
That this beauty is purely fair.
She is a white rose,
With blackened thorns.
A goddess, a beauty in her own right,
My best friend,
My lover,
Cassandra,
My Earth Angel.
