There are things I should say now

I need to get over the excuse that I do not know how

If anything I say too much

I use all these words as an overworked crutch

But I need to change things up and turn the table

God knows I am more than able

My voice is only a fragment of what makes me whole

My gift isn’t the only joy that accompanies my soul

There are other equations to the puzzle that has made me who I have become

Many elements constitute the makings of my sum

This includes the love you have so freely shared

Everything you have done to express how deeply you care

The understanding you gift when I need it most

The support you lend when I need a host

But most importantly the friendship you give

Pouring it out like it is the reason you live

My only wish is to be able to return these things back to you

To show gratitude for all the wonderful things you do

The best I can accomplish is profess my appreciation through written word

And make then be the most heartfelt words you have ever heard

And to feel in your heart how beautiful your spirit is to me

And for you to be able to behold the radiance I see

And that all you have done has not been in vain

That I would be lost if you never came

So now is the time, I no longer feel the need to wait

Tomorrow or next week may be too late

I love you more than the deepest love ever sought

And for you just being who you are, how could I not?
