The Voices
Soft cries from above the chasm
We're all short lived in the long run
Noone ever said it would last forever
We all had our hopes
And there was time
But damned if we knew it
And now here's the chime
Fatefully lost above the darkness
Whence we had fallen
There was no second chance
With all we knew melting
into the fell air we breathe so deep
You'd think we saw it
You'd think there was a voice
telling us so softly
the secrets of our savior
The words
Which on a cool early morn
Told of the escape from a world
So detached and so decentralized
But that voice could not be heard
Even if by 6 million ears
There were always the few
Those ignorant heads
in the clouds
beyond the mountains
And furthest from that which
Is without a doubt
Reality
