EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL IRONY

I awoke one day and there I lay,
Beside the bay of a planet far away.

I was surrounded by flowers,
Some in scale of towers.
Alluring with their powers.
Emitting radiant showers.

One in particular caught my eye.
As beautiful and blue as the sky.
It let out a shimmering sigh.
With a scent as sweet as cherry pie.

Like transcending magic, it wafted my nose.
It drew me closer, on my tippy-toes.
I smelt it savorly, much like a rose.
A divine scent devoid of prose.

When then a creature, derived of a hart,
Pranced at me with a sudden start.
To me, this knowledge he did impart,
"It is not wise to smell a fart."
