Painting With Words
On my color chart words appear blue
Only thoughts of you brighten that hue
I paint a picture with you in mind
Knowing true emotion is color blind
So my palette has color,of every shade
Lost in the shadows of past love paid
In time you'll turn and walk away
I'll paint them cloudy skies,then gray
For now the palette of paints are still wet
Dark the heartbreak that is not there yet
With blue and green,I color the sea
Does it bring you near or take you from me
Yellow dominates the blooms and the sun
I blend the colors when I know I should run
Friendship painted in a peculiar shade
Bright shades of scarlet,to tones of jade
My page is the canvas that is pulled tight
The palette words that bring fourth light
My brush the pen that I hold in my hand
The subject a picture that you understand

sometimes emotions are such that words are just there.Thank you for your comment.

Colors of Angels
Magneta
and
Black ~ s m o k e ~ pours from my ears placing
barbed wire around an angels'
imagination making her
invisible to us but --- makes her glow a deep Red.
Purple
and
Violet ~ l i g h t ~ shines thru me giving
her eyes punctuation marks'
for this universe and
making her desires spring from --- my Yellow paint brush.
Cyan
and
Green ~ e l e c t r i c i t y ~ tangles around me touching
souls shaped like the fins of Blue dolphins'
and an infants Ivory feet which slowly
begin to resemble a bottle --- of spilled White wine.
Pink
and
Orange ~ w o r d s ~ burst from her mouth as
Logic purses my lips'
itself with thousand Gold teeth
and a digestive tract as long --- as history.
