Together as One

We hold his moment for as long as we can
The water streams across your beautiful face
I hold you tight, any tighter and it will hurt
Like the pain that I know is coming soon

We stand there together as one
Trying to imprint in our brain this moment
Filing it away where we can never forget
Only to replay it back when we are alone

The steam fills the air like it has done so in the past
Except this time we know it will be the last
The mark you left on me will soon be gone
But never the one in my heart

The water trickles to a stop forced off by your hand
Just like the love you have for me, turned off by your hand
I fight hard to hold back the tears even though a few break free
And you walk away remembering this moment just like me
