Part 1 - The Meeting

(Antonette is a man who comes from a rich family as well as Marie who comes from another country. The families' countries are enemies, therefore, they cannot be together, for it would be treason. They sneak out and meet each other in a grassy field, next to a gravel path)

Antonette: Marie, my love, I have found thee, after waiting so very long for this moment. I admit my words have become profound for me, but I will not change anything for this moment.

Marie: Antwon, my love, I have been searching, and searching everyday till I have found thee. Where must I have been? Losing you is a sin in this world!

(Knight approaches scene)

Marie: Look, beyond, is there a man? For no longer stay I can. Please be with me, please be with me!

Antonette: Our love is forbidden; from our families, it should be hidden.

Marie: Please, don't go, don't go!

Antonette: I must, I must leave thee. Please forgive me.

(Antonette leaves)
