For consideration on promises

Perhaps, it’s in the words;
the negotiation, the new, the landslide of possibility.

For richer, poorer, sickness, health,
before you know the meaning of portent.

Brave health, sad death,
or the tearing down struggle of day to day.

And though intentions shift, reality still holds court;
inventing sentences and probations, rat nibbles on the fantasy cloth.

Without the dreams, the fairytale impossible,
and with them….heartbreaking
