Ok, so this is my first poem that I've posted...still need to work on the meter though.

My gut is twisted
the world turned cold.
and all I want
Is someone to hold.

I want someone
to press against.
To lay my head
on someone's chest.

I hide these tears
from everyone.
I wish this pain
could be undone.

I don't know who.
I don't know where.
I need you now
or my heart might tear.

I turn away,
close my eyes.
I can't ever let
you see me cry.

These secrets,
I will hide away.
Until in a box,
my soul will lay.

When you are at rest
and the night is quiet,
Rivers of lonely
will run in silence.
