Bio
Head Highlight (AKA Fred Sampson II) was lead guitar player for the band Euphoria, an 80s art punk band. Major influences included Devo, The NY Dolls and the Damned. The band's all too brief discography owed to lead singer Malcolm Periangus' drug addiction, which led to the band's maided tour based on the first album (Euphoria: Lip It Good! [1984], the first recorded by David Dunbar's early indie effort, Armswing Records) being prematurely cancelled. Consequently Euphoria tracks remain elusive in the public domain. Nevertheless, Euphoria's lyrics and rock-ribbed, no frills stage persona have been cited as "seminal" influences upon the late 80s NYC and Seattle grunge aesthetic.
