Friend

O What a Friend
You have been to me
Through it all, even to the end
You'll guide me, Oh can't you see
I cannot live without you,
Without you being there
To show me the way through
The ups and downs. To hug me with such care,
To gently guide me to the right path,
To challenge me to a greater high.
Friend, my wounds you bath,
My Friend, without you i would die.
When you warn, and i still do
No harsh words have you, only warm embrace.
When my tears fall as drops of dew
It is you who does race
To my side and wipe them away.
Friend, thou art truely a ray
Of light in this dark world of mine.

O True Friend
As I, in life's quadmire, drowns
It is you who, as the world frowns,
Dives in, out of the safe boat
To keep my head afloat.
It is you my Friend who dares
Even though the whole world stares
To step in front of me to take a hit
As I unaware sit.
Friend, how can I start
To tell of the wisdom you inpart?
Dearly beloved I am not worthy of you
You may not deny it, for it is true
For it is you who sets me at rest
For you are the one who knows me best.
My Friend, upon your brain
You take the strain
Of all my problems.

O Wise Friend
As I sleep through the night
It is you who will fight
Those dark and evil dreams
For you are my support beam.
Dear Friend, how blessed am I
To even know thy name
For you would I willingly die.
As the cruel world leaves me lame
It is thee who would bring down the sky,
Giving up on glory and fame
To help a Friend in need.
If only I was a minstrel, I would sing of thy deeds.
Friend, in the world eyes thou art dirt
But I hold you above Kings and Queens,
Above all the materials of the earth.
I remember how keen
You were to raise me up from my deep pit.

O Brave Friend
As I lie here
I have nought to fear
For I know you will hear
All my cries and pleas
And you will come,
With a gentle hand, upwards raise me
Smiling, your work is done.
Thou Friend, art a Friend of Friends.

*blushes* well, dear sir, I

*blushes* well, dear sir, I do enjoy this poem. I must say to all the readers that he is exaggerating. however, the use of imagery in this poem is delightful. I know, I say this a lot, but it is really beautiful, and is written very powerfully. Good job!
