Friendship Poem
The One True Friend

A friend is someone who is there for you
When no one else will be
A friend is someone who will walk with you
through the fire that you see
A friend is that person in the dark
that came to light your way
A friend is there to take you by the hand
and be with you everyday
I am sorry If I am not that friend
I will never be all this for you
No one in this world could ever measure
To a friend who is true
Except that friend who calls our name
The one who has always been
HE is there to light your way
and to cleanse us of all our sin
When all was lost and none were found
H e came to pay sin’s price
The ultimate friend who gave himself for us
His name is Jesus Christ

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

I and everyone else you meet in this life, even your own family, will only be with you for a time. We can try and be there for you but we will fail. We will hurt you, we will betray you, we will lie to you and all this by choice or by mistake. One though will never lie, will never hurt you, He will never betray you, nor leave you or forsake you. He is the one true friend and whether we are His friend or not He is so great that He is still ours. That when we were so alone and clouded by darkness, He was there to still call out our names. Through all the cursing, abandonment, though all the hatred and the forsaking we had done to Him, He was still there to call our names. He showed us all the ultimate form of Love and that is when He came down to a World of Sin as a man who had no sin to be sin for us, He was crucified and died and in this ultimate display of Love… God raised Him up on the third day, that we too would be raised with Him. The only thing I know to do as a good friend is not giving advice or being there to listen but rather do everything I can to pray and hope that God would use me to be a tool for you, that you too would see and believe as I do that Jesus Christ was, is and will always be the The Way, The Truth, And The Life and that No one, not anyone can go to the Father except through Him for He is our salvation made flesh and it is by His blood, the blood that should have been ours to shed, that we are cleansed and made able to stand before the Father. Alone we all fall short but by His Blood we WILL stand.
