1.)A row of neat, straight books
In the library lined up perfectly
Except for one
It sticks out from all the rest
The spine is ripped, torn.
Someone’s little sister had probably coloured
Inside it
I wonder why it’s there,
Among all the nice looking books.
Why doesn’t it go to where it belongs?
Where it’s wanted?
Maybe it’s not wanted
Anywhere
Maybe it will just float among the nice looking books
Forever
Pretending to fit in
Because being alone takes
Too much effort

2.)If I came up to you
And looked yu right in the eyes,
Really looked
Really saw you,
What would you do?
Its ben forever—
And forever was the promise you crushed for me.
And now I’m afraid.
I’m afraid to look you in the eye.
But if I had the courage to, I wonder,
What you would do.

3.)Oh, but arrogance and stubbornness
Bring out your worst.
The truth, bites you hard
But still you won’t admit
For fear of your pride
Might be crushed
Splintered down
And then what would you do?
No one to turn to,
Nowhere to go.
All because you never knew when
Enough was enough.

4.)When the only thing that you know is real,
Is the sound of his voice
You should ask yourself,
Is his love all you need?
Could you breathe without him as your air?
Could you walk without him as your strength?
Could you live without his heart in your head?

5.)Bring out the ogres,
They don’t scare me.
The Cyclops, the trolls
With ten eyes each.

Let them come get me,
The clowns and them all.
They can frighten me
But I won’t fall.

Disfigured figures,
Will I look away?
My own fear cowers,
And leaves me astray.

6.)You know I’m right
&that’s what makes you mad.
But go ahead
And call yourself my dad.
Sometimes I act like
I know more than I do
But a lot of times
I know more about this world
Than you.
