Demons

For so long

These voices did

Control so strong

A soul been timid

Anger then fear

Remorse regret

Plagued this soul

Could not forget

Took to drink

Hopes for escape

No matter how much

Did not alleviate

Only when

I fell to knees

Begging crying

Were my pleas

Demons silenced

Demons knew

A faint of voice

Now gently grew

Becoming stronger

With each new light

Plagued no longer

Finds strength for write

Voice of own now

Shares the verse

Free and loud

Soul’s immersed....
