If

Supposing the world

In each country

Had unfurled

Ways to meet

All of the hunger

And poverty

Supposing the children

All over lands

Had love and caring

By their mother’s hands

Supposing the nations

Did strive to accord

Agreeing to end all

Senseless brutality of war

Put forth their wealth

For the common good

Improving the health

Their moneys could

Supposing the peoples

The world over

Would love another

Much brighter and warmer

A world discovered

We could live in

Just supposing....
