Storm

Darkened skies

Swarming clouds

Vicious lies

You have allowed

Taking all

A selfish soul

Never loved me

And won't let go

Rain the sorrow

Hides deceit

Release tomorrow

This heart be free

Through your storm

Rage and scorn

Seas of harm

Of strength now bourne

No longer control

Steal and take

This heart and soul

To manipulate

Sail with peace

Never had known

Distant your pleas

Riding out your storm..

A comment from a newcommer...

I would just like to say that this poem is beautful. Coming from a similar situation, I find it really easy to relate to. The intense visual imagry evokes a sence of the deepest pain, which I know that heatbreak can bring. I'm sorry this is a bit of a useless comment, but this poem I think is really beautiful.

Meaningful comment...

Lisa thank you! My situation is a nasty divorce. My wife doesnt love me just trying to get my retirement benies..so now I am faced with seperating from the Navy after 16 years of active duty. She has also alienated my daughter and son from me just working through this crap through my verse.
