May have seen past the smoke

All the scrupulous lies

Promises you broke

The wiser man’s heart

Would stand the impact

The manipulations wrought

Compassion you lacked

A wiser man’s soul

Surely would know

Avoiding dark web

Deceits you had said

May be just as well

Loving a ghost

How does one tell

Sacrificing the most

Begin to realize

After fallen from love

A change in these eyes

As a wiser man’s does..
