Tainted

She went downtown with her gewgaws on her lips her neck and fingertips
And in her gig the men would drink thier wiskey, gin and beer
Then in the darken haze of night when love was made and spoken
The truth dissolved the happiness: in fear... the dawn came broken

Desolation in the soul leaves wasted, empty, hollow spaces
Love destroys the human spirit when love for lust replaces...love
Time alone is sometimes lonely, yet not as harsh as being lonely
When you make it with someone who makes you lost within yourself
Rest assured that bitterness will build its evil chapter
Bitterness evolves the notion true love can't exist
A tainted metamorphosis in the elements of love
Henceforth on will preexist on the pages of your text

Very gracefully
