Sunsets in Suburbia

Our dreamy march
The ebb and flow
The heat that makes the evening grow
We're left out in a silver blanket
Hanging up to dry

Yet, if we let our fortunes last
Tomorrow's joy may slay the past
We're clinging to a wave of tension
Staring at the sky

While drunken fury walks the streets
The freaks and villains proudly meet
Scolded by the sweat of fear
Their empty smiles and love lost tears

And in the wake of cold discretion
Preying on some bold obsession
Walk blindly t'wards the light of day
The treasured temptress must betray

As sleep creeps in we yearn for cover
Slay the thoughts of one another
The fuse burnt out , the tears all shed
Our walking shoes intrenched with lead

The dreamers march becoming clearer
Morning after's getting nearer
Sleeping 'til we dare to wake
To clear our names and wipe the slate
