Because I'm Better Than This !!!!
Why keep doing the same negative things over and over again,expecting God to forgive me for all of my sins? Because I'm better than this. Why do that when I can do this. Live God's will fulfilled with eternal bliss. I know it's hard to change. But the familiar causes me to remain the same. I'm better than this. I know what I'll do from this day forth. I won't just speak God's word, but I'll make the right choice. Because I'm better than this. I'm saying goodbye to the old and hello to the new. Give God glory for what He's done and is going to do. Because I'm better than this. What I do in the dark , I'll Do in the I'll light. I'll please God always both day and night. Because, I'm better than this !!!!!

From a non-religious point of view
Your poem sums up just about everything I feel at the moment. I like the way you've written it - it's just how you would speak normally. No frills or fancies. I am not religious, but each to their own. But like you I feel better than the situation I have created for myself so far in my life. I want out, and I'm going for it - the wheels are slowly turning.
