you can no longer hide.
It's in my head where the enemy lie
You manipulate my perception
You twist my confidence to it's knees
Inside all this confusion my ignorance is pleased
Your tricks and your motives,
confuse how I relate.

You are me!
Now my defences will inflate
And in our ignorance we protect the enemy within
We blame all on the devil as we lie, cheat, and sin.
There are no external enemies.
it's in ourselves that the enemy rests.
But we create what we hate,
just to pass all the tests
I know your con, your grift, I know your game.
Your self being is an illusion
You and I are one in the same
I have confused you for me,
on some level so deep
I sold my soul,
I put me to sleep
It has grown through the years,
It began some time ago
