Night
Stealthily untouched by light,
Its reigning beauty unknown to sight;
Time of glory for a star,
High as high and far as far.
Wanders hidden through its empire,
Felt by none but killed by fire.
Crowned with gems of subtle power,
To guide man in its darkest hour.
While the glowing orb held high in space,
Reveals just a sliver of its platinum face,
Many dream with minds released;
A time of logic has now ceased.
Wishes float to a place beyond,
Where lack of faith has not yet dawned.
A special magic in the sky,
Where heart and soul can never die.
All such things epitomize,
The amazing wonder before sun’s next rise.

fascinating
read. Particularly like the "sliver of its platinum face" line. Look forward to more poems.
