What Must be Done

Oh what fool am I to love
When it hath no love for me.
Truth, when I did say I adored thee,
Love was thy response.

Love to tear apart oceans and level mountains.

Requiem for Poem that was lost when the World Ended a.k.a. the beginning of man

Requiem for Poem that was lost when the World Ended a.k.a. the beginning of man
By the Duke and the Duck

There was a big boom, said I, said I, to the moon
For the moon
The waxen, waning moon

My dream in the Pudding

My dream in the Pudding
by The Man who Was to Be King, maybe, perhaps…

As the partridge began to sing
I could sense the slyness of my pudding
The pudding, in its slyness

The Doockle-Duck’s Epiphany

The Doockle-Duck’s Epiphany
by the Duck, himself

The door opened on the frosty cow
Outside, the snow had not yet fallen
The cow fell through the earth

The Dead Plant

Nurturing the dead plant doesn't help
it grow.

Giving time to the dead plant doesn't help
it flower.

Watering the dead plant won't stop
it wilting.

Cherishing the dead plant won't make

Sandcastle on the Shore

Inside the tan and solid walls
Encased inside from the sea
Hovels and hamlets, placed symmetrically
along the dunes.

Spires and marble minarets soar.

Off! A poem

Walking down halls of truth
Alone, or with friends
Darkness illuminated by light
Sometimes walking boldly
Or stepping with fright

Go on boy!
Off and about

The world won't wait
for you!

Ode to A Penny

How does it feel to be pressed into life?

As the force and power of time
wears upon your fading beauty,
does magic and history rub off?

The undesired change from a childish fancy.

To Big Brown

The dust settled
The photograph flashed
No, it wasn't neck and neck
Not even close
Everyone expected for him to win
Oh well, life goes on
The Triple Crown can wait for next year.

My Heart

It was healthy
Full of life
Strong
Then, it weakened
It pumped harder
Trying to make up for lost time
Then, it slowed
It stalled
It stopped
And died
This heart shall beat no more for her

Troy

"I'll ask her!"
Triumphant, I strolled along the halls
Beams of light, like angel's hands
Showed the way to my fair Helen

But fair Helen was not alone

She wasn't alone.

Today

Today she said, "Hello" to me.
She spoke to me!
She recognized my existence.

I wanted to shout, to cry out
"I love you with all my heart!"
I wanted to recite you sonnets of love
Poems of joy

I wish

I wish that I could say
That when I hear you, my soul flutters and sighs
That when I see you, my heart begins to race
That when I think of you, my hopes begin to soar
