Sandcastle on the Shore
Inside the tan and solid walls
Encased inside from the sea
Hovels and hamlets, placed symmetrically
along the dunes.
Spires and marble minarets soar.
Hallowed halls and sumptuous feasts
Resound atop the seat of monarchy
Ruling this shell of culture.
As the sea slaps against the walls
Weathered bricks falls and plunge
Back into the sea, to join the
Universe underneath the warped glass.
The walls will crumble, allowing
Pure sheets of hating force to swallow
The innocent features and edges,
Returning them to the earth's chest.
The great palace, with tailored cut
Against Poseidon's rage shall stand
Until it too surrenders and is swept away
Allowing life to start again.
