lost
left . standing in silence .
not a voice , nor a noise but the city's ambience .
the roar's of taxi cab's and annoyance of the blinding light .
an urge to thrash about as the people bum into me from the left and the right .
cover my ear's to the utter screech of demise .
while sitting there examining one by one's tainted eye's .
so many thing's to say rambling inside my head ,
but for the safety of other's , thing's are better left unsaid .
alone on this busy manhattan street .
no noise , but the horn's , music , and pitter patter of stranger's feet .
never has there been a time when i've felt more alone .
hoping someone would find me and take me back home .

joshua,i felt that way in a big city ...busy street too...can relate to what you write...thats why i love the country soo...nice write
WOW!!! Joshua
This is an excellent write. I have to admit that I feel like this in a big city too...it gets me all confused and I feel scared. It's great that you are able to express your feelings so well through your poetry at such a young age. Being able to do this will be a lifelong bonus for yourself.
I think it is so cool you have the self esteem to be so different and write and SHARE with us your poetry, when most kids your age are so into themsleves.
keep it up Josh and i will definatley be watching for more of your writes!! You rock!!
Linda
