Death Walked her Home

Death knew the woman's pain,
Her sympathy embraced
The sadly shrunken form.
She heard the woman moan
And longed to hold her close.

Death saw the man was scared,
And she was hesitant.
How could she take his wife
Whom he had loved so long,
Would he survive the loss?

The woman's weary soul
Saw Death was in the room
And calmly beckoned her.
She slipped into her arms
And let Death walk her home.

A very compassionate poem Joyce well written with feeling, sad but that is what it is all about how sad it is for the one that is left ,
very good descriptive poem from Willow

I am still mourning my mother's death last September. This was my first Mother's Day without a living mother. It will always be a day of remembrance. Thanks for your nice comment.
