i plant yellow mums
they border the new green grass
sprinklers make rainbows
in the street tumbleweeds roll
and cross neighbors' pebbled yards

I loved this one very desriptive of nature ,
a lovely poem thanks for the read for Willow

thanks, willow

The sight of tumbleweeds rolling down the street was one of the most striking images I remember from New Mexico. I used to walk often around our neighborhood, and the yards were really covered with stones. Many were quite artistically designed. One yard actually had a road runner design set in its middle. Only the new folks planted grass and flowers. There was a water issue involved!
