drum beats like a heart
rhythm of the nation's song
and the ancient dance
face war painted, feather wreathed
a brave gently rocks his son

great one Joyce

loved this one Joyce I have a great interest in American Indians, I love their beliefs in nature, so this poem was right up my street loved it well written from Willow

thanks, willow

I loved writing this one. I was scared of that brave until I saw the child. Thanks for your positive input.
