My Brother

My brother bit me,
With small teeth he drew my blood,
A budding vampire,
I don't have a single clue
How the child that I once knew
Could grow up so kind and mild,
At midnight does he go wild?

thanks, mimi...

A lot of people I know have had an experience like this - it's certainly sticks in your mind!! I guess most biters turn out to be wonderful human beings, like my brother. You just have to get through the pangs (fangs?) of early childhood! Thanks for your nice comment.

Freaky Piece

Joyce,

Have you been watching too much Moonlight on TV just like my wife?

Loving it,

Pete

no, I do remember Dark Shadows though...

I guess I'm really dating myself with that! Thanks for the comment and have a nice day - hope the sun shines so you can get out on the golf course!

Ah, Barnabas Collins!!!

Joyce,

You have a wonderful day as well and please don't work too hard. Stop and smell the flowers and the freshly brewed coffee. Oh Yeah.

Your pal,

Pete

thanks, Pete

I've come up with that poem I promised you. I'll post it tomorrow morning. Be on the look out!

I will be waiting with bated breath

Joyce,

Bring it on.

Pete

and I will look forward to your response...

what if it's like the one I posted today? That's mean, but I couldn't resist. Would I do something like that without your approval? (I got my brother's approval before I posted the one today, by the way.)

No Problemo

Sweetie,

When you been around as many of these poetry sites as I have you develop a pretty thick skin. Bring it on. Just remember one thing, I was kind to you.

Boys and men

They are two different species in many cases. This is a nice reminder of that. True of girls and women too I guess. Immaturity and the aggression it fosters doesn't last forever, thank goodness. This is a very cute poem, Joyce, and like so many of yours gives us something interesting to ponder. -- MS

thanks, MS

Thank God we all make it through childhood!! So many obstreperous children grow up to be such normal people!
I appreciate, again, your very thoughtful comment.
