My Sister
She is the strong one,
With so much self-confidence
And so many friends.
As I near my golden years
And still shed some lonely tears,
In this puzzle I am mired,
Is her confidence hard-wired?

Interesting Question
Joyce,
When you find the answer to the question posed in this piece will you share it with me for I am clueless as to what makes some so ultra confident.
Pete
yes, Pete...
I've been struggling with that my whole life!! It sure makes life easier, and usually more successful too! Of course, the fact that my sister is a caring person accounts for a lot of it too!
Thanks for reading and commenting.

it's more about human nature than your sister, no?
The length kept it very presice, and the subject very interesting
loni balogna
hopefully both...
I try to incorporate the specific and the general in my poems. Thanks for your thoughtful comments - I write a lot using the Japanese tanka style - it seems to suit my style and I like it. This one is an elongated tanka, 7, rather than 5 lines.

Joyce,
If i had to pick someone on this poetry site that i felt was self confident, it would definately be you. Maybe you dont even realize it.
And hey pete...you are very self confident too... look at all the poems you guys comment on...that takes confidence...come on you guys...give yourselves the credit you deserve. you guys are awesome.!!!!!
Linda
:)
thanks, Linda, so are you...
You know Linda, somehow poetry brings out something in me, I don't know whether it's true for you or not, that does not exist anywhere else. I am not very self confident. I just love this experience so much that it brings something out in me.
Thanks for the wonderful comment. You are a very positive person who seems to be very giving as well.
