Pain Comes

Pain comes, though uninvited,
It plagues me every day,
It stabs me in the eyes
When I go out to play.

I play on pixel fields,
And I love the poets' songs
With writers' joys and woes,
I love to sing along.

I survey my virtual field,
Which, like a giant desert,
Blows hot, dry sand in eyes
And creates a painful thirst.

If the thirst is too prolonged,
It will destroy my eyes,
My soul demands the songs,
But without eyes my soul will die!

Note: I have acute dry eye. Lately I've been on the computer most of the day. During the day my work involves computer use, and at night I've been spending hours on two poetry sites. And I am doing myself harm.
I will have to cut back on my computer usage a lot! I will try to post poems during the week and on weekends to comment on some poems. I apologize to any I may have neglected or will neglect in the future.

Take care

There are many creations of God worth seeing, poetry is not as important as those. So take care of your eyesight.

God bless,

Dolan

Pain

I'm so sorry about your worsening dry eyes, Joyce. I hope they will improve rapidly with more limited computer use. Then maybe after a break you will be able to go online a bit more. I hope so. Reading your entries is one of the highlights of my day, and I'm sure that's true for for many others too. But we'll be more than satisfied with a weekly entry if that's what you need. Love, Marylynn

Take Care

Take care Joyce, and I will keep in touch with you. A freind of mine has this very same condition, so I know how painful and frustrating it can be. I send my love and a big hug through to you.

i just got my computer

i just got my computer glasses, they help so much, i hope your eyes improve

No apologies required

Joyce,

I don't suffer from your ailment so I won't insult you by saying I know how you feel. You need to do what's best for Joyce...hell I'll keep raskin and Linda busy, don't you worry about them.

Still Me,

Pete

This week was lighter on the computer at work...

But I still did not put anywhere near the number of hours I was on it before at night. My eyes feel a lot better! I will have to continue this regimen, most likely, since my computer work at work varies and I can not afford to damage my eyes!

I was never the commenter you are in any case, Pete, so I know you all will do just fine. This is causing me a lot of pain though - I enjoy you folks so much!

Would you believe

that on one previous site that I haunted that I was actually berated for not commenting enough...what a crock that was.

I will admit that there are some postings on here that do not deserve the time it would take me to comment...you know how it is, if you can't say something nice....!

Pete
