yellow flowers preen
trees stretch pink branches proudly
rainbows strut in pairs

joyce,

In a box of crayola crayons You'll find black right next to yellow, pink, red, blue and green. They are all part of that "costumed world"
Hope you follow that pair of rainbows to a find two pots of gold :)

good one

Doesn't black absorb all color, reading this with that in mind made it interesting. I liked it either way.Light and dark. Thanks. raskin

great poem Joyce

I loved this one Joyce, and black is quite a good colour against the bright ones you describe you need black and white to set off colours,so you should fit in there perfectly Joyce nice poem from Willow

Black is In!

It looks like black is getting all the attention... Another beautiful piece of work..Or in the words of Mahamed Ali, "Black is Beautiful!"

I love it!

yea!!!!

sounds like a funeral
but there's always gold
at the end of the rainbow

to all of your comments, thanks!!!!

Consciously, when I wrote this poem, I thought of the coming of spring and the end of wearing the duller colors. There was a bit of depression thrown into the black, however. But unconscious thoughts were lurking, and many of your comments touch upon those things.

I am a big fan of spring and all the beautiful colors. Yeah, it's here!!!
