There was a beaver in old D.C.,
Who tried to chop down a cherry tree.
Because he did not have the might,
He just took out one big bite,
From that cherry tree. And people knew
What he had tried so hard to do.

The park ranger came out to ask him,
"Are you the one who tried to trim
Our dearly beloved cherry tree?"
The beaver said, "Oh no, not me."
That rodent was no George Washington!
