The Twins
The small child bends down.
Protectively, his hand lies
On his sister's back.
The twins watch as mama duck
Leads ducklings past a big truck.

Familial Issues
Joyce,
This pieces connotes a lovely picture in the readers mind. In my mind it makes me think of other scenes I get ot expereince working on a golf course. Scenes of the aforementioned ducks, scenes of mama otter and her brood, scenes of a doe and her offspring. Nice thoughts, to be sure.
Your friend,
Pete
Thanks, Pete
I, too, have often seen this scene of mama taking care of her young. And I recently saw a photo of a twin watching ducks and showing his love for his sister by placing his hand on her back. So I melded the two images. That gesture says so much of love. Thanks for your comment, Pete.
