Tiger
He's not a sculpture by Rodin,
And he's not an automaton,
Some nights he cries in his wife's arms,
Most days he laughs as if unharmed.
But he looks at his daughter's face
And sees the future he'll embrace,
With her sweet smiles enchanting him,
Yes, Tiger's truly human!

Joyce,

Wow!
Those blessings are really working huh?... I must admitt admit to you, that i would usually skip poems that have mention of, golf related things in it, for it dosen't really appeal to me, though this; and the gentle way it has been written, in your own unique style has drawn me in.
Both witty and warming.

Daddy's little girl
What a difference a little girl can make in Daddy's life! I'll bet Tiger would not trade her for anything. Delightful look at real life behind stardom. :-)

Thanks for your lovely comment! (You are one of my favorite poets, and I'm so glad to find you here!)
I, of course, don't know Tiger personally, I am trying to imagine what it must be like to be "Tiger Woods!"

A nice reminder
Of what it means to be human. And with someone like Tiger Woods, truly one of the greatest athletes of our time, it helps to be reminded that he is not, after all, a superhero. -- MS
