Insomnia

Twinkling stars are surely there
Faded by the fumes that I should not have gotten used to
Together these absent reminders
Shine with the brightly orange sun
Who was not ever supposed to be an acquaintance
Of the twinkling dying star

Day and night should not coincide
For my perception of reality has faded
The sun greets me but I have seen
It already without the darkness in between
The ringing of an alarm goes off
Making wrongful accusations
Because I have not seen properly
The shadow of my eyelids

So how can the sun and clock
Tell me it is daytime when
Nighttime has no rightfully come
