Christmas spirit

Calling all reindeers,
Christmas time is near,
The bell’s decking the hall,
This is the final season call,
Christmas brings together all.

The cherries on a plate,
Christmas cooking,
Christmas cake,
Ending with a bellyache.

Giving, Thanking,
Reminisce,
The people in hiding,
Because of fighting,
They might not be getting Christmas.

Give a little for those in need,
Everyone on Christmas should get a feed,
Maybe a present or too,
Christmas was not for a few.

Next time you go to the store shelf,
Even if you don’t have wealth,
Think of someone you don’t know,
Give the real Christmas spirit a go.

so much emotion in a christmas poem its quite interesting you made it rhyma well at the end but it lost its spirit and such a dramatic change... I like it : )

Thank you

I wrote this poem for those in the war zone's There are too many people missing out on Christmas this year some without their family.
Sometimes we are all to busy with our own live to remember those who have it worse. So this one is for the solders that are away from their family, fighting for their country, those who are seeking shelter from the rain of weapons from war, and the children lost amongst it all. Thank you for commenting and reading my work. Keisha
